KELOWNA - Atlas the purloined pooch is safe at home in Kelowna after being found in Penticton, more than 60 kilometres away. Okanagan-area RCMP had been searching for Atlas, a golden retriever, since March 9 when the 18-month-old dog was lured from its fenced yard in Kelowna’s Mission district by an unknown woman. Dresden vault robbery: ‘Priceless diamonds stolen’

Burglars have stolen three diamond jewellery sets from one of Europe's largest treasure collections - the Dresden Green Vault in eastern Germany. The sets consist of 37 parts each, and the thieves may try to break them up. Dresden police and museum officials say they are still trying to establish exactly how much was stolen in the break-in early on Monday.
