Man dead after Etobicoke shooting

A man in his 20s has died of his injuries in hospital after a shooting in Etobicoke early Friday, Toronto police say. The shooting happened in a parking area near the entrance to a highrise condo complex on Eva Road, near The West Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road. Emergency crews were called to the scene at 12:47 a.m. (CBC)

Man dead after shooting at Red Deer Walmart

A 69-year-old man has died after a shooting inside a Walmart in Red Deer, Alta., on Friday, according to the RCMP.  RCMP Const. Shelley Nasheim could not confirm if there was one or multiple shooters, but said two vehicles were involved. (CBC)

Three wounded in drive-by shooting on Hwy. 401

It’s not exactly a Merry Christmas on Highway 401 in Pickering on this last Friday before Santa visits. In fact, bullets were flying at 3:20 a.m. The result is three people were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. (Toronto Sun)

Two Chicago gang members have been sentenced to a combined 155 years in prison for the “mind-numbing” execution of 9-year-old boy four years ago. Gunman Dwright Doty, 26, was sentenced Wednesday to 90 years in prison for executing fourth-grader Tyshawn Lee, who was lured into an alleyway with the promise of a juice box in November 2015. Police search for suspects after 4 shot at San Antonio mall

Authorities are searching for five suspects after four people were shot Wednesday night outside a shopping mall in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. in the entranceway of the South Park Mall on the city's southwest side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.     Jersey City shootout, 6 dead including police officer

    A police officer was among six killed in a lengthy gun battle in Jersey City.  The two suspects were also killed, along with three civilians. Their bodies were found in a kosher grocery store at Bayview Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard after an intense shootout with police. Police initially said they were looking for a man and a woman in the shooting.(CBS)
