    Langara College arson suspect facing more charges

    VANCOUVER - A 23-year-old student charged with arson and possession of incendiary material in relation to fires that sparked an evacuation at Vancouver’s Langara College Monday is facing more charges. The Crown approved charges Friday of robbery and assault against Nasradin Abdusamad Ali. The bail hearing is set for Wednesday. (Vancouver Sun)

    Merritt man arrested after a series of church arsons

    Merritt RCMP said they’ve made an arrest in a series of arsons targeting churches last week. “ we had obtained some evidence that allowed us to get a search warrant,” said Cst. Tracy Dunsmore with the Merritt RCMP. “We a home in the Merritt area and obtained further evidence which allowed us to make an arrest.” (Global News)

    Employee charged with arson at Ottawa Wendy’s

    OTTAWA - A 28-year-old man has been charged with arson endangering life in connection with an early-morning fire that destroyed the Wendy’s restaurant at Lincoln Fields Tuesday and sent several people to the hospital with smoke inhalation. (Ottawa Citizen)
