EDMONTON - A former city bylaw officer who fatally struck a 77-year-old man riding his bicycle in a crosswalk was fined $2,000 yesterday and banned from driving for three months. Francis Grosvenor, 33, was convicted of making an unsafe left turn under the Traffic Safety Act. Sandor Baracskay died in hospital as a result of his injuries. REGINA - Two 17-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the death of another teen, after a burning body was found in a Regina back alley. CALGARY - On Saturday morning police were called to a home in the 6200-block of 31 Ave NW. When emergency crews arrived they found a 46-year-old man in life threatening condition after being stabbed. WINNIPEG - The words of a dead man helped convict Gordon Okemow of a brutal killing and grisly coverup, a court heard. Okemow confessed to shooting Nelson House resident Peter Moore two times in the head after learning a suicide note identified him as the killer. GOD'S LAKE NARROWS - Joey Okemow, 22, was charged with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and arson disregard for human life.
