HOPE - After completing a crime scene investigation at the property on Othello Road where 2 men were found dead, IHIT said they determined one of the men is responsible for both deaths.  Police confirmed the shooting was targeted and that the deceased, Alec Lamb, 26, and Tylor Insley, 29, knew each other.  (CTV)

Repeat offender

MONTREAL - Yan Robitaille-Godin, 32, is a repeat offender for driving while intoxicated.  Marie-Claude Grenon, 53, was crossing Des Seigneurs Blvd. when a truck ran her down Sunday at 5pm. Police say they believe Robitaille-Godin was responsible for the fatal crash and fled the scene without stopping after the woman was struck down.  (CTV)

Man surrenders

RED DEER - Tyler James Stevens, 30, was convicted of 4 counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm in the crash near Innisfail, Alta., on March 4.   Anthony Subong Castillon, 35, Joey Flores Mangonon, 35, Eden Dalu Biazon, 39, and Josefina Flores Velarde, 52, were killed when a Range Rover travelling the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the QE II Highway slammed head-on into their vehicle.  (CBC)   MORE:   Driver sentenced

Impaired charge

THE PAS - Around 3:45pm on Dec. 21, police and emergency crews were called to a head-on collision involving two pickup trucks on Highway 10.  The driver of one of the trucks, a 63-year-old man from Shoal River First Nation, died at the scene.  RCMP said that John Anthony Ducharme, 44, of Opaskwayak Cree Nation has been charged with impaired driving causing death, and driving while prohibited.  (CTV)  PREVIOUS:   Impaired charges   Charges laid

Fatal crashes

EDMONTON - Alcohol and speed played a role in many of the fatal crashes in Edmonton last year, police say.  Police said Friday that there were 29 traffic fatalities in 2012, resulting in 28 fatal collisions and 49 serious injury collisions.  Of those fatalities, 57% involved speed while 35% involved an impaired driver.   (CTV)

POWERVIEW - RCMP were called to a residence on Black River First Nation around 2am on Jan 1.  A man was found dead at the scene.  Officers identified the man as Peter Richard Bird, 25, of Black River First Nation. THOMPSON - RCMP have identified a man who died as 27-year-old Jarod Daniel Jensen of the RM of St. Andrews, MB. PETERBOROUGH -  Dana Sue Cranwell, 27, drowned in the early morning hours Monday after she was unable to escape from the submerged vehicle.  Her brother, a 29-year-old Bancroft man, was the driver of the vehicle and has been charged with impaired driving causing death.  (Peterborough Examiner)

Texas sentence

HOUSTON - Predrag Perisic pleaded guilty to the 2010 shootings of his children, Deyan and Danyela, who were 10 and 12 at the time of the attack.  A judge sentenced Perisic to two concurrent 99-year sentences for his crimes. Arrested, again

FORT MCMURRAY - In May of 2011, Abdullahi Mohamoud allegedly pumped gas at a Mississauga gas station and fled without paying.  The gas station attendant, Hashem Atifeh Rad, 62, chased the fleeing car and was fatally injured.  (Beacon)

Beating victim succumbs

Victim identified

TORONTO - Jayesh Prajapati, 44, was the gas attendant at a west-end Shell station who was killed after he tried to stop a man attempting to drive away without paying his $112 bill.  Max Edwin Tutiven, 39, of Toronto, is wanted for second-degree murder in Prajapati’s death.  (Toronto Star)
